Qualification and Experience:

Post graduate degree in marine science, maritime studies, economics, environmental science, or a related field.

Minimum 7 years of verifiable professional experience with government/ private sector and international agencies in maritime/ blue economy, offshore, coastal and ports related development projects, policy formulation, project management, or a closely related area. Demonstrated expertise in the implementation and management of maritime/ blue economy, offshore, coastal and ports related development projects, preferably with exposure to both domestic and international practices, Iincluding 2 years of managerial experience. Liaise with Public/Private and Chinese counterparts for all maritime and blue economy related projects in an efficient and effective manner in the light of long term plan; mature, prioritize and facilitate implementation consistent with best practices for efficiency and effectiveness. • Provide facilitation and assistance to line ministries at all stages of a project lifecycle-in the preparation of initial project investment proposals for projects, preparation of feasibility studies, the appointment of consultants/advisor for the project preparation feasibility study where required. • Assist in approval of projects in accordance with the requirements of bilateral understandings between China and Pakistan and rules & regulations of the Government of Pakistan by providing expert advice on the structuring and appraisal of all maritime, blue economy, offshore, coastal and Gwadar projects. • Assist in the identification and management of any risks relating to maritime, blue economy and Gwadar projects. Preparation of progress reports on maritime, blue economy and Gwadar projects. • Any other tasks assigned by the PD.
