Qualification and Experience:

Post graduate degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Agricultural Economics, or a related field from a recognized institution is required.

Minimum 7 years of verifiable professional experience with government/ private sector and international agencies in agricultural research, policy formulation, project management, or a closely related area. Demonstrated expertise in the implementation and management of agricultural projects, preferably with exposure to both domestic and international practices, Iincluding 2 years of managerial experience. Liaise with Public/Private and Chinese counterparts for agriculture cooperation related CPEC projects in an efficient and effective manner in the light of long term plan; mature, prioritize and facilitate implementation consistent with best practices for efficiency and effectiveness. • Provide facilitation and assistance to line ministries at all stages of a project lifecycle-in the preparation of initial project investment proposals for projects, preparation of feasibility studies, the appointment of consultants/advisor for the project preparation feasibility study where required. • Assist in approval of projects in accordance with the requirements of bilateral understandings between China and Pakistan and rules & regulations of the Government of Pakistan by providing expert advice on the structuring and appraisal of agriculture cooperation projects. • Assist in the identification and management of any risks relating to agriculture cooperation projects. Preparation of progress reports on agriculture cooperation projects. • Any other tasks assigned by the PD.
